Hainan garment workers take on European lingerie giant ‘Triumph’

Women workers at a garment factory in Hainan, southern China, began a strike on Wednesday 11 November to press their demands on pay and vacations after management announced drastic cuts in bonuses. Farmers' protests block roads again

Farmers' demands that the government allow some 5,000 more Thai workers to enter the country to make up for labor shortages have been escalating, and their protests continued Sunday, as hundreds blocked 13 major junctions by burning tires and unloading truckloads of produce, causing severe traffic jams throughout the day.
